Evie has been passionate about health and vitality and began studying the elements of a healthy lifestyle, plus alternative and complementary modalities in the 1980s.
Certified as a Healing Touch Practitioner, Evie founded Live Well Healing, Inc. offering clients coaching, stress and pain management, accelerated recovery from illness, injury or surgery and she addresses chronic issues. She also provides training and education on complementary and energetic modalities. She currently serves on the Healing Touch International Board of Directors and is a volunteer on the Health Initiatives Committee for The American Cancer Society.
Also doing business as Live Well Healing & Coaching, the firm offers customized Health & Well-Being Plans for small to medium-sized companies to reduce healthcare costs, increase retention and decrease absenteeism. She is Certified as a Wellness Coach by WellCoach ® (endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine and provides C-Level wellness planning and confidential coaching.
Evie works with the Integrated Health Advocacy Program (IHAP) offering participating employees and family members a holistic approach to manage challenging or continuing multiple healthcare needs as well as Hooper Homes, Healthways, Staywell, Red Brick and Kronos wellness companies. She also works with the Wheaton Park District as coordinator for the satellite fitness centers. Individuals also work with Evie for personalized Healing Touch sessions or customized wellness planning.
Staring her first company at the age of 26, she founded The Event Connection, Inc., a special events and public relations agency. Based in Oak Brook, IL the firm's long-term clients included WBBM Newsradio 78, St. Paul Federal Bank, what is now called Advocate Healthcare, and the National Propane Gas Association. Event production included large-scale corporate meetings and municipal functions while the public relations division handled primarily media relations around the country.
In 1994, after eleven years, Ms. Caprel resigned her position to spend family time with her husband and raise their two children. During this time she served on the board of directors for Caprel Computer Services, Inc., a consulting firm she co-owned with her husband. They sold this company in 2003.
